TED – The Video-Realm of Knowledge
In case you’re one of those people who never heard about TED, here’s a short explanation. If you are already a fan just skip this part.
TED is the abbreviation of Technology, Entertainment, and Design. It’s an organization that’s main mission, as they say, is to “spread ideas”. They do that via specially themed conferences that are broadcasted on Youtube.
Although they cover almost all topics there are two things in common: the high quality of the speech and the aim to make the world a better place.
Watching these videos is, in my opinion, one of the easiest ways to get inspired and broaden your horizon. That is why we, at Fatecaster.com, have collected a few TED talks that can help you through the journey of achieving self-consciousness.
So, without further ado, here are 13 Ted talks that we think you’d like.

1. Depression and spiritual awakening
If you ever felt hopeless and desperate, if you ever felt that the world and the universe were against you, watch this video. You’ll understand that, as Lisa Miller says, depression and spiritual awakening are really just two sides of one door, and the solution to your problems could be closer than you think.
2. Psychosis or Spiritual Awakening
Spirituality and the aim to reach consciousness are not the children of the 21st century. They date back way before, to ancient times when people had a different relationship with the Earth and more importantly, with each other. Unfortunately, we can’t travel back in time to see what they thought about spirituality and mental illnesses. However, if you watch this video, Phil Borges reveals you the amazing world of tribal cultures that haven’t lost the ancient wisdom.
3. The gentle power of highly sensitive people
As the presenter says, the word ‘sensitive’ has a really “bad PR.” But actually, there’s much more to being sensitive than you might think and, yes, it has many many advantages as well. And what are these? Just watch this video and don’t ever worry if you happen to be more sensitive than others.
4. How to know your life purpose in 5 minutes
Amazingly inspiring speech that gives you real advice on what to do with your life if you happen to belong to the group people who happen to be unhappy with their lives. I can’t guarantee your life will change instantly, but if you start a journey towards happiness and start to discover the small joys of everyday life, it really does worth to watch this video.
5. Stop searching for your passion
We happen to believe that if don’t have a passion for our life, we won’t find a job that makes us feel we never have to work again. But what if that’s not entirely true?
There’s much more to life, good job and happiness than searching for a passion that may change over time. (and there is a high chance it will) If you ever felt lost or scared because you didn’t know what you’re gonna do with your life, watch this video and stop worrying.
6. If you want to achieve your goals, don’t focus on them
I know this might sound very very awkward and unbelievable but this video will prove that wrong by showing a different perspective about reaching our goals. Plus there’s a cute little love story set as an example.
7. How meditation changed my life
Although the introduction is a bit long, it’s about the personal experiences of the performer which makes the whole video so genuine and inspiring. It proves that everyone has the power to change his/her life and that meditation can play a huge huge part in that.
8. The art of being yourself
Being yourself is not easy. Or is it? What if finding the real you is much easier than what media wants you to think? What if you already have the ability to be yourself and the only thing you have to do is to discover it? This video shows how you can do that.
9. Stop waiting for life to happen
21st Century is lived online. Information is always within reach. Actually, information can easily overwhelm our lives. But is that really good for us? What if that this informational society have already taken us? This video reveals some truths that may seem to be obvious at first. But if we really think about them, it turns out that many of us have forgotten them. And by forgetting them, we stopped living our lives to its fullest.
10. Looks aren’t everything: believe me, I’m a model
Media and social media put a huge pressure on us about our looks making us believe that we’re never good enough. That makes us believe that we’re not even lovable. And if we let that happen, we make us deprived of living a happy and fulfilled life. And although deep inside we know that there’s much much more to life than how we look, it’s so difficult to insert that feeling into our everyday life. However, if a model says that, it’s different. Watch this video and don’t ever let others tell you how you feel in your skin.
11. Deepak Chopra: consciousness and the infinite spirit
Deepak Chopra’s name has intertwined with spirituality and consciousness, and I believe that speaks for itself. Watch this video and enjoy how it instantly inspires you.
12. Overcoming hopelessness
This video speaks for itself. It is truly amazing and heartwarming, watch it!
13. Programming your mind for success
The video starts with a really interesting experiment on how human mind works in a situation in which you just can’t predict what’s going to happen. Why? Only to prove that “what is going up in your head has such a huge impact on the actions you take”. This is a really inspiring video, you won’t regret watching it.[/fusion_text][/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
