Ace of Swords: general, standing and reversed meaning

Ace of Swords, general description

Ace of Swords is the 59th card of the Major Arcana. It is part of Fatecaster’s Tarot card list that summarizes the Rider Waite Tarot cards’ meaning.

All of the Aces manifest the possibilities in us. Ace of Swords represents the higher leveled intellect which, together with the power of knowledge, can lead to brightness, obviousness and resoluteness.

Unlike the next card (Two of Swords) that expresses the breaking power of doubts, here the power of intellect appears in an enlivening, clarifying and liberating way. Sharp mind analyzes it by digging at the root of the problem; it doesn’t ignore the Whole, doesn’t speak too much about it and understate it.

Ace of Swords, standing

The seed of victory that we probably don’t notice. A situation that can be solved by (physical or spiritual) power. An opportunity that gives sense to the search for the truth. A decisive power that shouldn’t be ignored or spotted. It can mean new ideas and situations that can solve an actual problem.

Ace of Swords, reversed

The seed of defeat that we can’t yet notice. A situation you want to solve through force results in catastrophe. Misguided actions that rise to pain and false emotions. A power we ignore or deprave. It can mean you situations having the risk of danger.
