I Ching Hexagrams – Duration: meaning of the lines
Line 1: At the initial phase of things it’s unlucky to insist on things from which we don’t know enough. Do not insist on our opinion in this period.
Line 2: Be moderate. Aim for balance and we won’t regret it.
Line 3: The line shows an emotionally weak person. Though he/she sees through the situation, he/she isn’t guided by the proper principles. Her/His real problem is the lack of dignity.
Line 4: If we’re hunting on an empty meadow we won’t find any game. Don’t waste our energies.
Line 5: Persistence brings advantages. This isn’t valid to those leaders who need to solve various problems and get into novel situations. The leader has to be flexible.
Line 6: The line denotes an extremity. Where there’s no perseverance, nothing can be achieved.
