Eight of Wands: general, standing and reversed meaning

Eight of Wands, general description

Eight of Wands is the 46th card of the Major Arcana. It is part of Fatecaster’s Tarot card list that summarizes the Rider Waite Tarot cards’ meaning.

The main meaning of this card is its temporal aspect. Out of the 78 Tarot cards, this is the only one that clearly refers to an upcoming event. Other than that it doesn’t have any profound meaning.

It shows that something is moving, something is changing or something that happens faster than expected and that certain twists have already started without noticing them. Usually it’s rather the forerunner of joyful novelties and events.

Eight of Wands (velocity), standing

Sudden release of pure energy that puts an end to confusion and hesitation and encourages actions. Quick event that helps to achieve the goal. The event is caused by our own fast decision and resoluteness. Boldness and courage in love, venture and spirituality.

Eight of Wands (velocity), reversed

Too much loose power, too fast. Flash in the pan. An inconsiderate and early jump to the unknown. Inattention that generates bad decisions in love, work and spirituality.
