Five of Cups, general description
Five of Cups is the 53rd card of the Major Arcana. It is part of Fatecaster’s Tarot card list that summarizes the Rider Waite Tarot cards’ meaning.
Five of Cups is the card of trouble, pain, mourning and melancholy. It shows that something that has been really valuable for us has wrecked. It also means that we are not alone with our pains; we can rely on our friends’ understanding and sympathetic help.
These consoling meanings of the card shouldn’t be misinterpreted: the cause of our sorrow isn’t just apparent and the feeling of joy won’t return for a while. This card often refers to our lightheadedness: we undervalued and thus ruined something precious. The card always means that there is a way out from this situation. It warns us not to roam needlessly too long in this dark wood.
