King of Pentacles, general description
King of Pentacles is the 35th card of the Major Arcana. It is part of Fatecaster’s Tarot card list that summarizes the Rider Waite Tarot cards’ meaning.
King of Pentacles represents the masculine side of Earth, it means the aspire for a property, security and financial values, it displays our reality. He appreciates actions not words, desires or good intention. The King of Pentacles expresses our ambition for permanence, perseverance and the certain occurrence of known things.
Plus he has a sophisticated sense of what is achievable and practical; he intuitively notices advantageous business opportunities. He represents our awareness with time, the awareness of slow maturation of permanent values such as the ability to wait patiently and avoid impetuosity. King of Pentacles shows the nature of someone who loves sensual pleasures and delights and who expresses the wish to satisfy his/her sensual appetite. The shady side of the card is an insatiable hedonist, a heartless huckster and last but not least a comfort-lover bludger, our inner Oblomov, the brilliantly portrayed protagonist in the novel of Goncharov.
