King of Swords: general, standing and reversed meaning

King of Swords, general description

King of Swords is the 31st card of the Major Arcana. It is part of Fatecaster’s Tarot card list that summarizes the Rider Waite Tarot cards’ meaning.

King of Swords represents the masculine side of Air. It’s the power of the quick and smart mind that appears in its own ingenious, funny, versatile, controversial, moreover ironic and cunning way.

This ability not only makes you capable of realizing, understanding and analyzing things but also to logical dogging, prescinding, self-seeking, counting and to examine and realize the problems in all their bearings. If these powers take the lead, so will their dark sides: emotional rigidity, biting, cynical criticism, insincerity and versatility.

King of Swords, standing

The essence of the air, just like the blue sky. A mature leader with strong values and high prestige. A trusty judge, whose sense of justice isn’t influenced by other feelings or financial things. Pure spirit, conscious acts and direct speaking describes it. Someone, just like a great warrior, inspires for absolute trust and fidelity not for love and emotions.

King of Swords, reversed

The dark essence of air, just like grey sky. A serious leader with rigorous principles and absolute authority. An unwavering judge who doubtfully trusts the law with unwavering emotions, mercy or anything else. Clean thoughts, but tend to abuse of power and is a master rhetoric. Use all these in order to achieve the goals at all hazards. Someone who, like a tyrant, doesn’t bring out love and emotions in others heart but fear, respect and servitude.
