King of Wands: general, standing and reversed meaning

King of Wands, general description

King of Wands is the 23rd card of the Major Arcana. It is part of Fatecaster’s Tarot card list that summarizes the Rider Waite Tarot cards’ meaning.

King of Wands denotes Fire’s masculine side whose creating power is represented by Louis XIV. This is the manifestation of self-confidence, life-affirmation and the manifestation of the joy over greatness. These attributes don’t necessarily need to be experienced in a shallow way but in an exemplary way so that it could serve everyone’s interest.

The card is the expression of willpower, improvement, the fulfillment of personality and the intention for maturity. Only negative exaggeration can transform these into self-congratulation, bumptiousness, showing off and adoration for splendor.

King of Wands, standing

It’s the essence of the fire acting like air, like a lightning. It’s a great, caring leader who inspires others for actions. An artist, who grabs an idea and brings them to fruition through brave actions. A strong, charismatic and kind person who teaches through examples and trusts other people’s knowledge. A vigorous and magnetic personality with natural authority who ably and quickly finds his/her way in the world.

King of Wands, reversed

The dark energy of fire acting like air, just like a thunderstorm. An exciting but hasty leader who makes people around him/her be irresponsible. A depraved artist whose unlimited love of chaos triggers crazy ideas that exert an influence on the crowds. A charismatic and scary person who is showing off with his/her abilities in order to incite his/her environment for a responsibility that points beyond their abilities. A dynamic and magnetic personality who can disappear surprisingly and leaves behind confusion.
