The Star: general, standing and reversed meaning

The Star, general description

The Star is the 18th card of the Major Arcana. It is part of Fatecaster’s Tarot card list that summarizes the Rider Waite Tarot cards’ meaning.

This is the card of hope, wisdom and the discovery of deep interdependencies. It shows that we are starting or planning things that will lead to the distant future and of which positive outcome can be hoped with good reason. In this initial period we are often not aware of the fact how far-reaching our actions are.

It’s only when we look back to the occurrences can we notice how crucial the change showed by the card was. Just like the seeds need time to bud, realizing the action’s results is also time-consuming. According to the traditional interpretation, the Star is one of the three protecting cards, that has the promise of a joyful success.

The Star, standing

New hopes and fantastic opportunities for the future. Intuition, instinct, courage and enlightened approach to spiritual me. After a dark period the transformation of the body and the soul towards the light.

The Star, reversed

Lost hopes, doubts and failure. Life and spiritual energies get lost in the dark. Determination, that leads to blind faith in false situations.
